The Gorgeous – Amber Fort
It is another beautiful historical monument which is situated on a hill above the Amber complex overlooking the Maotha Lake.
Amber Fort, the historical destination covered by Golden Triangle India tours is built in white and red sandstone. The fort is a unique piece of architecture endorsed with fabulous decor and interiors showcasing a prefect blend of Hindu -Muslim architecture. The interior walls of the fort are covered with murals, frescoes, and paintings showcasing the regal lifestyle of royal members.
The four amazing sections of Amber Fort are accessible via large staircases from a central location. The tourists are escorted by the royal elephants to Amber Fort. The main entrance of this imperial fort, Surajpol is connected to the staircase of this imperial fort.
The narrow staircase leading to the Kali Temple is placed just before the main to the entrance. The Temple, also known as Shila Devi Temple is popular for its huge silver lions. These lions are one of the reasons to attract a large number of tourists to this beautiful destination covered by Golden Triangle India. Though, the origin and purpose of these huge lions are still a mystery which is yet to be solved. This silver door temple has a small story to say. According to the history Maharaja Man Singh I had worshiped Goddess Kali to conquer the rulers of Bengal. As per the story, the Goddess has appeared in Maharajas dream and had ordered him to get her statue from the Jessore seabed, presently in Bangladesh and place it in an appropriate temple. Though there has not been any proof regarding the above story, but it is still believed by the nearby people.
