Cleaning Cloudy Mirrors
I have met a number of people who are having trouble with cleaning their mirrors that have become cloudy and today I want to try and help you in that regard.
Let us say you own a full length mirror as part of your closet and it is now old and looks very cloudy then you are not alone. I once owned a problem mirror myself; I can bet that you neighbour has owned one too. I tried everything I could to clean it until I got rid of it only to discover the best cleaning methods months after I had gotten rid of it.
Now if you are planning to keep the mirror how do you find a way to deal with its problem? How do you go about cleaning it? As a discount decorative wall mirrors specialist let me provide some few tips you can try out. These suggestions can apply to all kinds including large, oversized, compact, framed, unframed or even bathroom floor length mirror.
You can simply clean them with some water. You can use warm or hot water. Do not add anything to the water i.e. it must be pure. This can work pretty well on a plexy glass.
Another option is to simply use vinegar and newspaper. If it was once cleaned with some oily or greasy stuff then this could work quite well.
Another alternative is to use spray cleaners like Windex or something similar. Spray cleaners work well generally well for some decorative bathroom mirror and not for others. This is why you should not worry too much if this option does not work for you – just move on to the next option.
If you are having difficulty with having them clean by using any of my recommendations, then probably there are other reasons why it is cloudy. For one if could be that the silver on the back of the mirror is peeling off. You can get it re-silvered but I would recommend you let go of it and find a new one – unless of course it has some sentimental value attached to it.
